Kaitlyn's Home Care Consuting

Where have I been? 

Kaitlyn’s career began as a Caregiver at the early age of five when she was caring for her Grandpa. She remembers helping clean his car, shave his beard, and get into trouble with Hardees and the Donut Shoppe! She has always been a Caregiver, looking out for the wellbeing of others around her.

 

After Kaitlyn graduated high school, her parents offered her an amazing opportunity. They wanted to start a franchised business and asked for her help running it. She gladly accepted at the age of 19 and began working for Home Helpers in June 2016.

​

One year later, the Erdmans realized Colorado was not where they were needed. They transferred their territory back home to North Dakota, where Kaitlyn moved to start it in October 2017.

The business quickly expanded into four major surrounding cities within a 220-mile radius. By 2019, the business had exceeded expectations, and Kaitlyn needed help. That’s when the rest of the family moved back home to North Dakota, where they reside and continue to work on the business to this day. 

 

In February 2023, Kaitlyn’s Grandma was put on hospice. She took two months off work to help care for her Grandma in her final days. She realized just how precious and how difficult caring for a loved one can be. It’s something that's kept her going in this home care industry.

When she returned, she returned as Home Helpers Compliance Officer, assisting everyone she could to ensure proper policies and procedures were followed/upheld. She prides herself in being “business-oriented” and having a heart for people.

About

Where am I now? 

​

Kaitlyn now resides in Minot, ND with her wife, Megan, and the rest of their family.

​

She is the current Compliance Officer for Home Helpers of North Dakota.

 

She spends her days traveling from location to location, sitting in on meetings and orientations, talking with the area managers, creating documents and policies, ordering promotional items and gifts, and ensuring everyone has what they need to succeed.

​

Kaitlyn has a passion for helping others.

Watching others succeed in home care makes her happy.

Knowing that she is making a difference is why she does what she does.

​

Where Am I Going?

My name is Kaitlyn Erdman.

My goal is to help other home care agencies that may be struggling, just like mine was.

​

I want to help other owners:

​

  • Start their agency off right with the proper policies, procedures, and documents needed to start services.

  • Provide peace of mind to staff knowing that a strong foundation and structure is in place for them to rely on.

  • Grow their home care agency to the best of it's ability.

  • Manage their finances and resources in a smart and rewarding way.
